When you hear Merle Kollom play concerts on a carillon, you hear a real musician playing, she is playing with expression and control of the sound quality and all nuances, and with the heart. She makes the bells sing. She is a marvellous carillonneur, and a splendid ambassador for the instrument.” Mit diesen Worten charakterisiert Prof. Peter Langberg von der Scandinavian Carillon School in Dänemark das Carillonspiel von Merle Kollom aus Tartu/Estland. Die Organistin und Musikproduzentin machte 2019 bei Prof. Peter Langberg ihren Abschluss und ist seitdem Estlands erste professionelle Carillon-Spielerin.
Merle Kollom hat schon viele Carillon-Konzerttourneen durch Europa gemacht. Erstmals ist sie in Hamburg am Mahnmal St. Nikolai zu Gast. Sie präsentiert Stücke internationaler Komponisten sowie eigene Kompositionen und Arrangements estnischer Volkslieder.
Das Konzert ist im Freien auf dem Platz des ehemaligen Kirchschiffs zu hören.
